Quiet and stable operation

The double piston rotary compressor, which was developed and manufactured by TOSHIBA, is basically made up of two counter-rotating disks. This ensures maximum mechanical stability, optimum speed uniformity and consequently minimum vibrations.

Constant temperature

An air conditioning system only needs to run at full capacity about 15% of the time. The TOSHIBA inverter system regulates the modulation width permanently between 20% and 100% with its intelligent control. This maintains a constant temperature without continuous on/off switching.

Saving operating costs

Since the device operates 85% of the time in the so-called. part-load operation, efficiency is a critical factor in this area. This is where TOSHIBA units offer the best. They are energy efficient, save your wallet and guarantee a long service life.

Long service life thanks to hybrid-inverter technology

By automatically changing the compressor speed, the inverter air conditioner continuously adjusts its heating or cooling capacity and thus the room temperature, thus ensuring an even higher level of comfort. When the room is sufficiently cooled or heated, the inverter independently reduces the compressor speed to ensure that this constant temperature is maintained at all times. On the one hand, this saves energy and, on the other hand, reduces the degree of temperature fluctuation in the room. Thanks to the infinitely variable compressor speed control, the output is only as high as it needs to be. As the compressor does not have to be constantly switched on and off, the lifetime of the air conditioners is also extended.

Filter technologies

Breathe clean air

TOSHIBA air conditioning systems use sophisticated filtration systems. Depending on the design and area of application, TOSHIBA room air conditioners purify the air in several steps while ensuring that the cooled air is not only clean, but also odourless, almost noiseless and free of unpleasant draughts.

Dust filter

It consists of a special densely woven plastic fabric which, in the case of TOSHIBA products, covers the entire heat exchanger. They clean the air of all coarse dirt and dust particles, have a long service life and can be easily cleaned from time to time with a vacuum cleaner or water.

Electric filter and air purifier

These filters charge the air in the room with ions and thus increase the overall well-being. Dirt particles such as dust, pollen, dust mites, bacteria and unpleasant odours are removed.

Plasma filter

The plasma filter is a multi-stage electric air purifier that is significantly more efficient compared to a simple dust filter. This self-cleaning air ioniser filter absorbs and neutralises fine dust, pollen, mould spores and virus particles smaller than 0.01 μm.

Ozone air purifier

The ozone air purifier works with the help of an ioniser: the air is enriched with ozone – a natural component of the air. Ozone reacts with foreign molecules to neutralise germs and impurities, converting them back into oxygen.

Filter strips

These are filter strips containing natural substances and with a special surface treatment that purify the air you breathe.

IAQ filter

The TOSHIBA IAQ filter purifies the air you breathe using silver and enzymes extracted from kimchi. It absorbs odours, refreshes the air and contributes significantly to maintaining health. Viruses and bacteria are neutralized. This filter can be easily removed and cleaned – preferably with a vacuum cleaner. The IAQ filter should be replaced approximately every two years.

Active carbon-catechin filter

The active carbon-catechin filter purifies the air in two ways: the carbon acts as an odour absorber, while the catechin has a purifying effect against dust and other particles.

Ultra Fresh filter

The TOSHIBA Ultra Fresh filter captures up to 85% of PM 2.5 class particles and creates a healthy living space at home. The PM 2.5 class includes particles less than 2.5 μm in diameter (3% of the diameter of a human hair).

TOSHIBA water chillers bring a new dimension to cooling and heating. When the required performance exceeds the limits of direct humidification systems in terms of technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness, water-based systems come into play.

Cooling:

• Outdoor temperature: dry bulb temperature +35°C
• Indoor temperature: dry bulb temperature +27°C / wet bulb temperature +19°C
• Humidity: relative humidity 50 – 55%

Heating:

• Outdoor temperature: dry bulb temperature +7°C / wet bulb temperature +6°C
• Indoor temperature: dry bulb temperature +20°C
• No height difference between indoor and outdoor unit

Sound pressure level: measured at a distance of 1 m from the indoor unit (1.5 m for cassette and ducted units), respectively. at a distance of 1 m from the outdoor unit.

The values are obtained in a soundproof room in accordance with JIS B8616; in the case of built-in, the values may be higher, as the influence of external factors becomes apparent.

Control options solved with the app

Controlling your air conditioning system with your smartphone can be very simple. With the TOSHIBA Home AC Control app, you can control your units from anywhere, such as turning on the cooling on your air conditioning system before you get home, and save energy on the go. Through the Energy Monitoring function for Single-Split systems, a constant overview of all settings and costs is available. The RBC-Combi Control module allows remote control even without WLAN via app or SMS. All you need is a SIM card.

All TOSHIBA units are compatible with WiFi connectivity and Combi Control.
