These are dynamic and displacement compression. The so-called scroll compressor works on one of these principles. The scroll compressor is widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, heat pumps and automobiles.     <\/strong> <\/p><p>Scroll compressor or scroll pump is a type of positive displacement compressor. It works on the principle of internal compression of the medium. It is usually lubricated with oil, but it is also possible to find certain types that do not require oil to operate. Such types are most suitable especially in cases where clean and dry air is required without any oil contamination in the compression chamber.     <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How a scroll compressor works  <\/h2><p>The scroll compressor consists of two spiral elements that fit together. It is a stationary spiral and an orbital spiral which is driven by a motor. To better understand how such a compressor works, it is important to perceive and understand the importance of positive displacement. Positive displacement compressors work by feeding a certain amount of media into a cylinder with a moving component such as a piston. This mechanism then reduces the volume of the cylinder, thereby compressing the medium in the remaining space. This process is also called internal compression.       <\/p><p>In the case of scroll compressors, the orbital element moves inside the static element, and the crescent-shaped chambers between them get progressively smaller. The medium moves towards the centre of the scroll cover, gradually compresses and finally passes through the outlet opening. This is followed by a non-return valve which prevents the compressed medium from returning.    <\/p><p>The media compression process in scroll compressors consists of several steps:  <\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Suction: the medium enters the chamber between the rotating and static spiral through the suction pipe  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Squeezing: turning the spiral closes the suction pipe and squeezes the medium  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Outlet: the compressed medium travels out of the chamber through the opening in the centre of the static spiral  <\/li>\n\n<li>Stability: 180\u00b0 phase shift provides radial stability and internal compression minimizes leakage due to lower pressure differences between air bags.  <\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical features of the scroll compressor  <\/h2><p>Due to the simple design of the scroll compressor with only one moving part, this type is highly reliable and quieter compared to the reciprocating and rotary screw compressor. These compressors achieve efficient and reliable air compression.   <\/p><p>As a rule, they consist of:  <\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The suction chamber is the area where the medium is drawn into the compressor.  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The inlet is the inlet through which the medium enters the inlet chamber.  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The outlet port is the outlet through which the compressed medium leaves the compressor chamber  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Stationary spiral, is a fixed compressor. In its centre there is an outlet opening.   <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The impeller is a moving element driven by a motor and is responsible for compressing the air by orbiting around the stationary impeller.  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The compression chamber is the space between the stationary and orbital helix where the medium is compressed  <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The safety temperature sensor is a safety feature throughout the system. It monitors the temperature of the compressor to prevent overheating and possible damage.   <\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The cooling fan helps to dissipate the heat generated during the compression process. This ensures efficient operation of the compressor and prevents it from overheating.   <\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advantages of scroll compressor  <\/h2><p>When you hear the word compressor, most people probably think of a noisy and bulky machine. But scroll compressors are essentially the opposite of that. They are oil-free, compact and relatively quiet. They are ideal for sensitive mechanisms such as dental instruments or air conditioners. Among their biggest advantages are energy efficiency and high efficiency.      <\/p><p>Due to its unique design, the scroll compressor can compress more media compared to a reciprocating compressor of the same power input. Compared to other compressors, these machines achieve the highest efficiency in terms of their volume. This is due to the fact that there are no pistons to compress the gas. The scroll noise level is significantly lower than other types. A complete compression cycle takes 2.5 revolutions, including the suction, compression and displacement phases.      <\/p><p>The scroll compressor offers smooth, vibration-free operation thanks to its scroll element. Compared to a reciprocating compressor, it has almost no torque fluctuation. The simple design of this compressor contains only one moving part. This makes it highly reliable and considerably quieter than equivalent reciprocating and rotary screw compressors.     <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Energy efficiency  <\/h2><p>Scroll compressors are nothing new on the market and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlascopco.com\/sk-sk\/compressors\/wiki\/compressed-air-articles\/scroll-compressors\">have proven themselves<\/a> over years of use. As already mentioned, they achieve a high level of energy efficiency. Their design is simple and requires less maintenance. In addition, the movement of the individual parts is much smoother than with other types of compressors, leading to higher reliability and longer service life. In many industries, there are demanding requirements for the compressor to be small and unobtrusive and these compressors are the ideal solution. The entire mechanism is enclosed in a protective casing and thus gives an elegant and discreet impression.       <\/p><p>Scroll compressors are the least polluting compressed medium and thus safe for all industries.
